On Filmmaking and AI Panel at Futures Summit

At the Futures Summit I was invited to because of my film Humans Forever, I had the opportunity to speak on the panel: AI in Filmmaking: From Code to AI Reels: California, Community College Students Building Robots and AI Inspired Films. Lots of thought provoking questions were raised: what should we keep as human and give to AI; AI can complete many tasks for humans that used to take hours and days but burns fossil fuels and uses enormous amounts of water; AI is right most of the times but makes mistakes; at what point is AI a tool versus being a harmful cheat?

AI is a challenging issue to addresss, but I am glad that the California Community Colleges are addressing the technology and how to best to incorporate it into the community colleges for the teachers, administrators, and students. I am grateful my film, Humans Forever, and I were part of that discussion.

Humans Forever Won Best in Show!

Humans Forever won Best in Show for the California Community College's Reel Futures: Student AI Film Shorts Competition happening next week in Santa Clara. I am also honored to be on the panel discussing AI in Filmmaking: From Code to AI Reels: California, Community College Students Building Robots and AI Inspired Films. Thank you to my amazing crew of Pasadena City College film students and my actors for helping me create Humans Forever.

Indie Films Los Angeles Selected Just Desserts!

My first film, Just Desserts, was selected for its first screening outside of Pasadena City College! Very excited. Thank you to my cast, crew, and everyone who has supported my filmmaker journey. If interested in attending this in-person screening, tickets are available on eventbrite for $23.17. Details: Indie Film Los Angeles at the Soho Cinema Club for Sept. 6 from 4 - 6:30 pm. There are many events throughout that day at that location so be sure to buy to tickets to the right event.

Here is the latest poster for Humans Forever. Last night's screening was fantastic! Everyone was excited see and support each other's works. I really appreciated the words of support and encouragment audience members offered to me which included friends, faculty and fellow filmmakers. Now to submit to other film festivals and start creating the next film. Back to working on my feature or another short?

Newest Film Selected For Film Festival

Humans Forever has been selected to show at Pasadena City College's Student Film Festival! This is my second film this month to be shown at Pasadena City College. I am truly honored to have my film selected from amongst the films made by my excellent fellow student filmmakers. Thank you to the staff, family, friends, and fellow students who have helped support me in my efforts to pursue my dream of being a filmmaker.

This 4-minute film was my first student film, and the awesome experience inspired me to pursue my current career as a filmmaker. I hope you enjoy it.
